Very rarely wil one come across a movie so tight in its screenplay tat it wil stick to d storyline in hand without deviating by an inch. Kora Kagaz, one of those Hindi classics aptly shows why Jaya Bhaduri was regarded as an acting powerhouse during her heydeys.

Kishore Kumar haunting voice and Vijay Anand's charisma on screen all adds to this wonderful drama right till d end where the climax goes awfully wrong. Had it not been for the climax the film deserved a 5 star but this climax made sure that the movie finally wud let the viewers down after keeping them hooked onto for close to 21/2 hours.

.the chemistry between the lead pairs was heat warming and the audience can actually feel a sense of disgust towards the mother -in-law.

This review of Kora Kagaz (1974) was written by on 25 Jun 2008.
