Review of The Enforcer (1976) by Alex K — 12 Jul 2009
Another fun entry in the Dirty Harry series, even if it does stick to the formula a bit closely. Harry gets some partners who like to die, the government and the higher-ups in the police are still idiots, and Harry goes to a deserted located and engages with the enemy, returning wiser from the experience.
The only formula breaking thing is tis film is the female partner. While gimmicky at a glance, and predictable in the how the relationship will evolve, Inspector Moore is a likable enough character to keep things interesting.
Also, the climatic explosion was a little predictable and very excessive. My only other complaint is that the editing was a it off for me in parts, but overall there were no real cinematic problems. It seems like the series may be beginning to run out of ideas, but this installment proved to be a good fun watch.
