Review of McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) by James C — 15 Jul 2008
The story of a businessman who doesn't really understand what Capitalism is about. Brilliant, nuanced and very human performances from Beatty and Christie (her finest hour?), great use of Leonard Cohen on the soundtrack & the freewheeling Altman style is really at a premium in the storytelling, mise-en-scene and soundscape here.
