Review of Kwaidan (1965) by Andrey B — 03 Apr 2017
I'm surprised how some critics view this picture as a horror movie and therefore try to find flaws according to the genre rules. For me this movie absolutely transcends the horror genre into sublime mix of mystique and drama stories philosophizing on nature of man and his motives.
The third story for me personally is a true masterpiece with its haunting soundtrack and story of an ancient rivalry.
