Review of Kwaidan (1965) by Dan K — 20 Jan 2011
As with most Japanese classics, Kwaidan finds itself ahead of its time in terms of style and eeriness. Perhaps these folk-horror stories are more effective told orally in their own traditional way (often the outcome is predictable), but I'm sure the original narrators of these tales would be entertained by and appreciative of this adaptation.
