Review of Kwaidan (1965) by Scott R — 12 Nov 2014
Ground breaking suspenseful horror film that probes the powers of the undead over the living.
The first story "Black Hair" was compelling, but was not a complete story.
The second "Woman of the Snow" was powerfully effective. I love being shown entities with mystical powers and god like powers over life that choose to interact with regular people.
The third "Hoichi the Earless" also a great story of interactions between the living and the dead.
The fourth "In a Cup of Tea" was sort of a let down, but an interesting idea.
