Zodiac is a well-crafted work by Fincher that refuses to let the gruesome details of the Zodiac killer's murders get in the way of the story that is being told. Ruffalo, Gyllenhaal, and Downey Jr. all give outstanding and dedicated performances as the real life people responsible for trying to solve this mystery.
It's a long ride made bearable by outstanding attention to detail, near-flawless acting, skillful direction, and a story that keeps the audience guessing.
