It's very difficult make a good thriller based on a real case that has never been resolved, but luckily in these days we have a master of suspense who know how to make a great film, Mr. David Fincher.

On July 4, 1969, an unknown man attacks two young people, and kills one of them, maybe a half an hour after that, the police received a short call from the attacker informing about what had happened. One month later, the San Francisco Chronicle receives encrypted letters written by the same killer calling himself the "Zodiac", after this the police started an investigation with the help of a political cartoonist and a crime reporter.

Zodiac is one of the most compelling pictures I've seen in years, is so explicit and is so well done that is almost impossible not to feel empathy for it. With 162 minutes so well filmed by Harris Savides and so well accompanied by the music of David Shire (with some rock classics) makes this movie a delight for the eyes and the ears. For people who didn't notice it, the visual effects are excellent in some scenes.

One and another I have to say thanks to James Vanderbilt for that exceptional adapted screenplay, what great screenwriter.

Robert Downey Jr. as the reporter Paul Avery, is maybe the protagonist that less time appears on the scene, but without doubts is the most convincing performance of this picture, in spite of that, for me the best was Jake Gyllenhaal as the cartoonist Robert Graysmith, and i'm not a fan of this actor. Mark Ruffalo as Dave Toschi it's ok, but is always the same, never surprise us.

In conclution, if you like Fincher's work, you need to see it, it's very advisable.
