Review of Zardoz (1974) by Jamie T — 14 Apr 2010
Pretentious sci-fi nonsense takes some good, solid ideas and drowns them in a script that desperately wants to be profound, but ends up being ridiculous.
Connery is lost. The costumes are horrendous. The whole thing starts to feel like a bad student film, and it all wraps up in a climax so bizarre that it almost defies description and explanation.
