Barely entertaining (purely through its badness) and almost completely incomprehensible mess of a film. I don't know why I keep looking into John Boorman's movies. POINT BLANK and DELIVERANCE aside, this guy seems to be a complete hack.
I'm amazed Sean Connery's career did not fall off a cliff after this amazing dud. So bad it's not good, but it must be seen to be believed. I cannot fathom that this shit exists; worse, I cannot figure why I watched it to the brutal end.
