Review of Your Sister's Sister (2011) by David F — 11 Jun 2012
Your Sister's Sister skillfully combines the ethos and elements of an indie film (a Pacific Northwest setting, a Duplass brother) with those of a conventional Hollywood Romcom (last minute heartfelt confessions, characters who secretly love each other but are afraid to reveal their true feelings, Emily Blunt) while avoiding the self-indulgence which frequently mars the former as well as the predictable formulas which often stalk the latter.
I was completely charmed by it, and happy to see Blunt once again in the kind of scrappy little film where she has done her best work.
