Review of Your Sister's Sister (2011) by Ana B — 30 May 2014
Jack is in love with Iris, the ex-girlfriend of his brother Tom, now deceased. Due to circumstances he doesn't dare approach Iris. Jack spends a short holiday in Iris's cabin where he meets her sister Hannah, a lesbian that has just broken up a long term relationship. After a few drinks Jack ends up in bed with her. To make matters more awkward yet, Iris materializes the following day forcing Jack and Hannah to make a decision; but in this story everybody has a secret agenda and soon enough their true feelings start to emerge.
Despite the peculiar twists and slightly bizarre situations this film strikes the right notes and gives us an honest drama with touches of comedy. It is a very theatrical picture mostly focused in the clever dialogues and dynamic interactions of this weird trio with very troubled love lives. It is sweet and sour story line with very solid acting of the three main, characters.
