From the beginning of the film, it all feels too predictable or potentially silly and careless, but as the story progresses, small revelations pop up, surprising you in mildly amusing ways. Eventually as you reach the end, you might feel as though it's going to end in a corny, sickeningly sweet way, but heavy turning points keep you afloat, displaying you a different style of making indie movies.
