Review of Your Sister's Sister (2011) by Jillian L — 17 May 2014
This was an interesting little indie movie. First off, great cast. Mark Duplass, Emily Blunt, and Rosemarie DeWitt all work fabulously off of each other. The three of them essentially run the show, and they handled it nicely.
The characters also came off as very real people, which was nice to see. A lot of the scenes had really natural dialogue and felt improvised in a way, so that was a credit to them and to the writing. The story itself is really interesting and filled with tiny character reveals that keep you interested in these people.
My only complaint is that it's a little slow paced and can get really talky, which definitely lost my interest a couple of times. Overall though, this is pretty interesting and worth a watch if you're into family centered movies.
