Ozon's latest seems only half baked. It convinces neither as a coming-of-age story nor as a family drama. The lead actress doesn't help the least bit - it takes more than putting tons of make-up, fluttering your lashes or staring dreamily into the void to create a credible role - especially if ambiguous.
