You have to give major props to the writer/director team of Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman (Juno) for creating a protagonist who is so blatantly unlikeable. The duo's sophomore effort is more uncomfortable and less funny than Juno, but equally poignant.
With great performances from Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt and some surprising narrative turns , Young Adult is an interesting piece with some pretty unflinching moments.
