Review of Young Adult (2011) by Arth J — 08 May 2018
In "Young Adult," Charlize Theron delivers an outstanding job playing a character that is ultimately pretty dislikable. It can be tough to root for her character at any point in the story, but it is a compelling watch and she feels like a real person.
I also enjoyed the supporting actors and thought Patton Oswald had the most dramatic and comedic timing. The two of these actors carry the movie. As mentioned earlier, the main character is not likable and that makes the movie not very interesting to watch.
I almost was at the point of rooting against her. Also, the story does start to drag in the middle section of the movie. Overall, it's a decent movie worth checking out primarily due to a stellar lead performance.
