Review of You Get Me (2017) by Dean W — 28 Jun 2017
Many Cliches but honestly not as many as expected. I thought it was gonna be some shitty ass stupid teen sob love story but man SHIT WENT DOWN!!! Not a perfect movie, far from it, but was very entertaining and was definitely worth the watch.
Bella Thorne played a pretty good psychopath (great in some parts. Decent in others), Tyler's character was not bad. He had enough character development so you could get the just of him, but I wish they developed him more.
Alison did not really have any character development, therefore her character was lack-luster. Gil, Tyler's best friend had absolutely no character development. To be fair though he was a secondary character.
Same with Lydia, Ali's friend. One thing I really wish they did was develop the relationship between Gil and Tyler better because I feel like if they did when Gil doesn;t believe Tyler it would have made Holly seem like even more of a psycho manipulative bitch because she even made Tyler's best friend go against him.
I could continue but I'm too lazy so, it was a good movie, quite a few cliches, good suspense and drama, good overall acting, lackluster character development, but very entertaining. Most definitely worth a watch.
4/5.
