Review of Sausage Party (2016) by Dean W — 07 Oct 2016
Some funny parts, but 90% takes place in the store and not at homes as the trailer suggests, so instead of really seeing reactions and a team dealing with the situation, we get every item in the store assigned a racial stereotype that's not supposed to come off as racist? Biggest problem is the cussing.
I have no problem when it's done in a way that serves the film, like say Pulp Fiction, I buy that's how they talk, I'm sure you can think of other examples. The foul language problem comes from it being over used as if a 14 year wrote this to see how far they could push it.
And then no one stopped them. It's as if it's supposed to be funny every time someone opens their mouth and says ---.
