Review of Yi Yi (2000) by Chris S — 07 Jun 2008

I was expecting too much from this film. The first half is interesting and there are some good scenes but the film gets tiring by the next half. The characters are uninteresting, and there is no actual theme or a real plot.

And I don't really watch movies just to see some characters living ordinary lives and dealing with average problems. What I want in a film are interesting themes and dialogue, extraordinary events, and good conclusions.
