Review of Y Tu Mamá También (2001) by Kevin D — 02 Mar 2012
Surprisingly bleak and mature road movie from Alfonso Cuaron. It's great to look at and the actors are perfectly cast in their roles. A few scenes annoyed me and the narration became intrusive once in a while, but this is still a really good film.
The film elevates itself in the last 10 minutes. It almost serves as a revelatory wake up call. The dark ending will make this movie stick around in my mind for sure.
