D. J. Caruso's 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage' (2017) is a dumb film that would be fine if it was fun, but it's not. This film takes its self too seriously, and every character is infuriating to watch.
I like Rob Cohen's 'XXX' (2002), it's ridiculous yet it's quite fun. However, much like Lee Tamahori's 'XXX: State of the Union' (2005), 'Return of Xander Cage' is not worth your time.
Shoddy action and acting, poor plot, and a tone that is madly inconsistent, do not see this awful film.
