Review of xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017) by Tatsuhito K — 20 May 2017
After the first 30 minutes, I stopped trying to make sense of it and decided to just go with it, and boy, did I have a blast. "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" is totally generic and forgettable, but it surely delivers some fun, gravity-defying action set-pieces.
While I found some of the characters insufferable and there is nothing groundbreaking about it, it works perfectly fine as a pure escapist film. Ruby Rose and Donnie Yen are by far the best parts of the film.
I had a good time.
