Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Fabulous H — 14 Oct 2016
Definitely the weakest of the reboot films, way over-reliant on CG, and at times borderline incoherent, Apocalypse was still enjoyable (and still better than Last Stand). I wish it had some of the emotional resonance of First Class and Days of Future Past, but Fassbender and McAvoy were both great, and the new cast all pretty much killed it as well.
A couple of great action sequences almost make up for the boring, muddled climax. Looking forward to more Jubilee in the next one.
