Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Ian W — 30 Sep 2017
As comic book teams go, X-men are one of the best, the film offers a younger version of Xaviers mutants, adding some great new additions. Psylocke for example, Olivia Munn plays the roll well and looks good doing it. The acting is great, as well as a great cast of actors/actress'. The only fault id find with the movie would be that apocalypse doesn't feel like he is a massive threat, which is the complete opposite of him as a character, being X-men's biggest villain. The new Apocalypse look is also terrible, an Ivon Ooze type look, far to humane and feeble. A stand out character would be Quicksilver, stealing the show just like in X-men: Days of Future Past.
The opening sequence is amazing, an old Egyptian setting involving mutants. The film as a whole is good, but it lacks something.
