What was the point of the movie besides keeping the franchise alive? Ah, yes putting a super-duper-megavillain who absorbed the powers of countless mutants across time being beaten by a bunch of teenagers and a few mentors.

Apart from that, it is watchable but do not expect a consistent plot or characters. I would say the only characters I liked were Quicksilver and Nightcrawler as they seem to be deeper than many others who appear to be shallow despite the big talk they can deliver often.
