Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Dharma — 28 May 2016
It seems that the critics are bored with the superhero genre. Giving this installment a crappy review equivalent to travesties such as the Fantastic Four series is a great disservice! X-Men Apocalypse is simply a more 'traditional' than the usual X-Men films.
There is a move towards embracing the 'fantastic', something more similar to its source material. Gone are the leather costumes...replaced by comic book perfect garbs and action sequences. Sure some of the effects are a bit spotty (it is cheaper to produce than Days of Future Past), but for the most part it is a great end to the 'First Class' trilogy.
