Review of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) by Justin J — 31 May 2017
X-Men: Apocalypse has the mission to introduce a new cast of young characters and give closure to the old cast and trilogy. By the advice of world-wide events and a powerful villain it manages to give purpose to the creation of a team of young mutants that'll risk death despite the failure of the original First Class team.
It gives depth to Professor X's choice to recreate an X-Men team and establishes the next step for the franchise. Unfortunatly, too much time is spent with older, stablished characters and their unsatisfying dramatic circle.
