Review of Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead (2009) by Erin W — 24 Nov 2009

Wrong Turn 3 is pretty much exactly the same as the previous two installments with a worse director, actors, script, budget and anything else you can think of. The plot is identical to the first one, a group of people get stuck in the backwoods of America to be stalked and killed by a cannibalistic family. Sadly where this installment goes wrong is that most of the film is based during the day and simply isn't frightening. There is great potential for scares by having disfigured people jumping out from the dark but once you see them in the light it becomes boring very fast. There is no suspense or build up as the very first scene shows you the killer family, the director should have kept them to the shadows a bit more.

The acting really was horrible but the one redeeming feature was the use of some decent special effects for the kills. Very average entry to the series and almost certainly the last one. Disappointing.
