Review of The Red House (1947) by Daniel K — 21 Jun 2012
2: This would be much more frightening and memorable if it had been shot entirely on location. Studio backlots don't really do the creepy forest, the dilapidated Red House, or the farm justice. It's one of those old films that is easily forgotten, because it is just entertaining enough to be watchable.
There is very little mystery or thrill involved. It is merely adequate.
