Review of Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) by Katley M — 11 Jan 2009
I do not understand what people see in this movie. I meen as a stand alone film it might have been good but as a sequel to Wrong Turn it just did not keep up. There was just so much bad in this movie. Let me just start off by saying that this is a Horror-Comedy so if you are expecting the same depth and atmosphere of Wrong Turn then walk away.
The acting was just awful. There were no likeable charecters. And the plot I meen can we say generic. Reality show gone awry, lost in the woods with mutant cannabils. That has been done how many times.
I also thought that this was just trying to be somthing that it was not. It tried to have the rawness of The 05 Hills Have Eyes remake. But all that it did was look like a cheap generic Horror-Comedy, that only gave you stuff you've already seen a million times.
I will give it this the gore was fantastic. It was bloody and hardcore, in my opinion that was the only thing that was worth watching in this movie. If you are in the mood for a pointless Horror-Comedy with great gore check this one out.
If not check out the original.
