Review of Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) by Sandeep H — 17 Mar 2014
(What a huge mess).
I do agree with the audience on this one. This film has loads of problems. The first film was way better than this. The effects, acting, performances and costuming, everything was way off target and key here. Hollywood, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what makes a great horror film okay. It is common sense. Great scares, at least a decent storyline, acting and performances by actors and actresses that we can believe and the effects aren't half bad. The camera work was done okay. I felt like some shots were at some strange angles at times. There's some extremely low shots in this film. This one is full of gore and over the top acting that any dummy can do. A true professional can really make a movie like this stand out. This horror sequel is directed by Joe Lynch. Joe should go off and get into more film training if this is all he has to offer for a horror film.
All in all it was terrible and as bad as anything in the United States made in horror. This film is right up there with Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013). It is that bad of a movie.
