Review of Written on the Wind (1956) by Allen D — 23 Jul 2007
Luscious high camp melodrama from Douglas Sirk (the master of the genre).
This is a particularly good-looking slice of Hollywood hokum boasting a Best Supporting Actress Oscar-winning performance by Dorothy Malone that makes up for what it lacks in subtlety with buckets of entertainment value.
