This was a deeply disturbing movie, and the description above does not describe it accurately or do it justice. Infertility is the thing that is testing the couple's marriage the least. Trauma and post-traumatic stress, both at home and abroad, are the real tests.
Without spoilers I can tell you that the final scene, though it seems like it is a happy ending - is not.
