In an era of James Frey, Rigoberta Menchu and other fabricated sob stories, it seemed like a brilliant idea to make a parody of the fabricated inspirational story. But too many scenes are hamfisted, corny or underdone, and too many of the characters are one-dimensional.
Still worth watching once -- you can see it for free online if you have Amazon Prime.
