Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Darrin C — 13 Feb 2015
Bobcat is a subpar director but a great original writer and this is his most emotional by far. Robin Williams was a perfect choice for the grieving father and it's crazy to see the kid from Spy Kids as a detestable teenager with a porn addiction.
The tone is extremely dark for a comedy yet Bobcat makes it works extremely well. That blend, the likeable characters and actors cover up the little problems with Bobcat's direction. This one of the best dramedies there is.
