Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Zeke P — 29 Aug 2012
For everything I liked about this movie, there was something I disliked as well. It never really settles into whether it's a dark comedy or a satirical drama, if that makes sense. It tows a fine line, and just when you think it will commit to one, it switches.
But, lots of great things - pugs, Bruce Hornsby, the last ten minutes, a Tyler Stout poster and Bobcat Golthwait in his best cameo since Tapeheads. Also, the kid in the poetry class that steals 'Under Pressure' as his poem had me on the floor whenever he said or did anything.
Worth a viewing, but don't expect too much.
