Review of Wordplay (2006) by Dustin G — 20 Oct 2010
This is definitely geared towards people who like and actually enjoy doing crosswords. I don't. I was always more of a word search type, so right off the bat I'm at a disadvantage as far as entertainment value's concerned here. But it's really well made and interesting to see the way the crosswords are created. I really didn't find it as suspenseful as some who'd have you believe this is a nail biter. But it's nice to sometimes be exposed to a part of the world you didn't know existed and the colorful characters that inhabit it, in this case 'world championship' of cross wording. Yup, there's a best of competition for everything. Everything.
Give the movie an extra star if you're a crossworder.
