Review of Woodstock (1970) by Isaac S — 09 Jul 2008
Bombastic, hopeful, unabashedly naive and stupid. no, not the movie, the hippies IN the movie! oh, yeah, there's some really good performances in it too. in fact, some great performances captured on film.
split-screen madness ruins some of 'em, and enhances others, and doesn't occur in a few. short-changes some artists who were not filmed, but really shows others who were in a glorious light. too much alvin lee, though.
