Review of Woodstock (1970) by Richard D — 24 Feb 2016
A great concert documentary with some great performances, especially Richie Havens, Joe Cocker and Sanata (Joan Baez and John Sebastian I'd be just fine with never seeing again). In it's current directors cut it runs close to 4 hours, which is far too long.
Yes it worked out a lot better than you would ever have expected it to given the vast number of people who turned up, but right around the tenth time somebody is going on at length about this, you realize the movie could stand to lose about an hour.
