Review of Woodstock (1970) by Lanning : — 30 Dec 2008
Still one of the best music documentaries ever made. Maybe the greatest assembly of musical talent ever assembled for a concert. So many great musicians who died before their time. Martin Scorsese cut his teeth as a music documentary editor and assistant director on this baby.
Jimi Hendrix is the guitar maestro of all time; he still mesmerizes me every time I see him. Wish I could have experienced him live . . .
