I saw this as a kid, and remember being in total awe of it. I couldn't believe a cartoon could be so scary, funny, twisted, sexy, brutal and dark. And so effortlessly cool. But I maybe remembering it through rose-tinted glasses - it was probably crap! Would love to see it again, but as far as I know it is unavailable on DVD.
