Review of Wizards (1977) by Steven M — 14 Mar 2009
Interesting idea, but executed very poorly. The story is obviously a slant against Adolf Hitler and the atrocities committed by the Nazis, but there's also the part with the priests which seemed (at last to me) to be a slant against Judaism.
Also the idea of technology versus magic is a key element but at the end of the movie it turns into a case of "the end justifies the means." Overall, it comes off as a propaganda piece. One that is 30+ years too late.
