Review of Wizards (1977) by Op Here — 29 Sep 2008

I was very disappointed with this. I really expected more out of this, I loved Heavy Traffic and Coonskin. But Wizards was just awful, a great concept but terrible low budget editing, terrible sound and bad animation, not to mention the terrible rhotoscoping.

This movie was bad, Peace was my favorite character until he started to talk, Ralph Bakshi ruined that too by voice acting for peace himself. The story was one that should have been much longer, but was instead smashed together to fit a short 80 min film.

Don't let this movie give up on Ralph, although his animations are low budget, there's still much to be had from movies like Coonskin, and many other of his movies.
