Gruesome toward the end, and typical 80s horror camp, that seems to be inescapable with Craven's name attached, the movie isn't bad per se but nothing eye popping. At least the movie is somewhat clever in the Djinn's interpretation of desires- it really brings to mind 'be careful what you wish for'.
