Review of Winter Light (1963) by Devilish G — 21 Aug 2008
Ingmar Bergman's movies do not make ppl fall in love at once because it takes time to digest the hidden meanings of the movie. It's always the aftertaste that's memorable. This movie explores issues about religious faith by a series of events happened among a pastor with faith crisis, a lady with blindly in love with the pastor and a suicidal man who desperate needs faith.
It makes you ponder what faith is, why we have faith and how life would be without faith... obviously not for those who do not wish to use their brains.
