Review of Winnie the Pooh (2011) by Glenn D — 29 Nov 2011
Refreshingly simple and utterly charming, this latest Winnie the Pooh represents the gentle gift of the child hood story and imagination. The soundtrack from Zooey Deschanel compliments a witty script that is amusing for both the old and young alike, and it does so without pandering certain elements to a certain audience but rather by making it's characters accessible beyond age boundaries.
The voices have changed, but even for those of us who grew up with the characters it doesn't get distracting. It manages to allow the character of old to feel fresh and new and perhaps reimagine visiting this storybook creation for the first time.
Very impressed with this one and certainly will look forward to owning a copy for myself down the road.
