A nearly perfect bit of storytelling. The message is not forced and fits in well within the plot, characters are genuine, circumstances are believable, acting is solid. There's quite a lot to balance out here, and it's done with wit and skill.
No need for melodrama, either. No one needs to die or get in a serious accident or set fire to anything. A compelling story that operates truly within the realm of what most of us would consider "real life" is a rare and wonderful thing.
