The colorful original movie. Young Peter Ostrum is poor and fascinate with Willy Wonka chocolate factory, which is shut out of public for 3 years when one of the employee plan to steal the secret recipes.
Now it is announce there are 5 golden tickets hidden in the chocolate and the 5 lucky ones can visit the factory. Peter is the last winner after picking up money on the street and try his luck. He ask his grandpa Jack Albertson to tag along.
Inside the factory is so fascinating and quirky. Gene Wilder is Willy Wonka, a weird guy as well. He found Oompa Loompa and hire everyone to work in his factory. Then as the story goes, one by one those naughty kids are "eliminated".
Even Peter himself sneakily drink a floating soda. When Jack ask Gene about the winner getting lifetime of chocolates, Gene rant at them for been dishonest and broke the rules therefore losing. Peter handover the everlasting candy given at the beginning of the tour and Gene announce him the winner.
And turns out a sneaky man who confronted all the winning kids for the revealing of the recipes turns out to be a spy for Gene, who is out to test the kids integrity. Gene says he will leave the factory to the winner to take over.
