Review of Wild Style (1982) by Tex M — 02 Aug 2007
The definitive hip-hop movie. Shot on a low budget yet resonates with quality in its gritty depiction of all the vital elements: Graffiti, BBoying, MCing, Turntablism. The plot is not that engaging but the importance of the film to the musical and cultural genre that is hip-hop makes it an enduring classic.
